Pediatric & Adult Neuropsychologist
Dr. Nghiem joined Neurocognitive Specialty Group in 2026. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a master’s degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a focus in behavioral neuroscience. She worked as a research associate for the department of neurology at UT Health McGovern Medical School before returning to obtain her doctoral degree in health service (combined clinical/school) psychology with a specialization in neuropsychology. She graduated following completion of an APA-accredited internship at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, with rotations in the Pediatric Assessment Clinic, Metabolic and Bariatric Center, and CARES program. She then completed a lifespan postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Health Andrews Institute and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, with a focus on pediatric sport-related concussion assessment alongside traditional adult and geriatric neuropsychological evaluations.
At NSG’s Dallas clinic, Dr. Nghiem provides pediatric neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents, including assessment of sport-related concussion in young athletes and return-to-play and return-to-learn decision-making. Her combined clinical and school psychology training gives her particular insight into how cognitive findings translate into school-based recommendations and accommodations. She welcomes referrals from pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, athletic trainers, and schools, and continues to evaluate adults and older adults across the full range of neuropsychological referral questions.
