Neurocognitive Specialty Group offers a full range of clinical and forensic neuropsychology services, from diagnostic evaluations and cognitive testing to expert witness testimony and litigation support. Our providers hold doctoral degrees in clinical psychology or neuropsychology, and multiple NSG neuropsychologists are board certified in clinical neuropsychology (ABPP).

Neuropsychological Assessment

Comprehensive neuropsychological testing of memory, attention, processing speed, language, and executive functioning. We evaluate dementia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), ADHD, and other neurological and cognitive conditions, and deliver a detailed written report with diagnostic impressions, cognitive strengths and weaknesses, and practical treatment recommendations.

Psychological Assessment

We evaluate mood, anxiety, personality, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions using standardized psychological testing, clinical interviews, and self-report measures aligned with DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria. Each evaluation produces diagnostic impressions and practical, individualized treatment recommendations.

Civil Forensic Neuropsychology

Independent, evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations for civil litigation and insurance matters. We perform Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for motor vehicle collision, Defense Base Act (DBA), and workers’ compensation claims, evaluating claimed traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other cognitive injuries. Our forensic neuropsychologists provide record review, rebuttal analysis, depositions, and expert testimony for defense and plaintiff counsel, insurers, and government agencies.

Criminal Forensic Neuropsychology

Forensic neuropsychological evaluations for criminal proceedings, retained by defense counsel, prosecutors, and courts. We evaluate competency to stand trial, Miranda waiver capacity, and mental state questions, and provide capital case services including Atkins intellectual disability evaluations, sentencing mitigation, and competency for execution. Our neuropsychologists conduct jail-based evaluations and provide reports and expert testimony grounded in standardized testing and validity assessment.

Sports Concussion & NFL/NCAA Litigation

Concussion and traumatic brain injury (TBI) care for athletes and former players. We provide clinical concussion assessment, return-to-play and return-to-work evaluations, and long-term cognitive monitoring, along with NFL Concussion Settlement and NCAA settlement evaluations. Our BAP-approved, board-certified neuropsychologists perform pre-effective, post-effective BAP, and Monetary Award Fund (MAF) evaluations for former players and their counsel.

FAA Exams

NSG performs FAA-required neuropsychological evaluations for pilots and aviation professionals seeking medical certification or recertification. Our evaluations follow FAA specifications, including the CogScreen-AE battery and HIMS program assessments where applicable. We work directly with Aviation Medical Examiners and the FAA to support timely certification decisions across all classes of airman medical certificates. We also perform FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) Tier 2 psychological evaluations for applicants referred after initial screening.

Telehealth Screenings

Through PSYPACT, NSG provides telehealth neuropsychology services to patients across more than 40 states. Our providers offer remote pre-screening consultations, clinical interviews, follow-up appointments, and select psychological assessments via secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing — connecting patients with expert care regardless of distance from one of our physical clinics.
