Our League City Clinic
Neurocognitive Specialty Group’s Houston-area clinic sits in League City, midway between downtown Houston and Galveston on I-45, and doubles as the company’s home base — our corporate office and central scheduling team work from here, coordinating referrals, records, and appointments for all eight NSG clinics.
The clinic is directed by Dr. Nicholas Wisdom, NSG’s co-founder and CEO and a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist. NSG began as a single Houston-area practice, and League City remains its home clinic — Dr. Wisdom still sees patients here every week. He practices alongside fellow board-certified neuropsychologists Dr. Jonathan Fillauer and Dr. Troy Webber, and clinical psychologists Dr. Amy Cuellar and Dr. Laura Mai. Dr. Cuellar is additionally board certified in serious mental illness psychology.
Our office is a standalone clinic building at 112 Magnolia Estates Dr, just off FM 518 and I-45, with free parking directly outside and a ground-floor, wheelchair-accessible entrance. We see patients Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and most new evaluations begin in the morning so testing finishes comfortably within the day. Clinical interviews, testing, and assessment are available in Spanish — let our scheduling team know your language preference when you call.
Our Staff
Our clinical team is supported on site by:
- Amanda — Site Coordinator
- Kajal — Psychometrist
- Alexis — Psychometrist
Amanda coordinates scheduling, records, and day-of logistics for League City patients, and she also assists with test administration. Our psychometrists administer and score standardized tests under the supervision of our doctors — they are a big part of your testing day and are trained to keep it running smoothly and comfortably.
Neuropsychological & Psychological Evaluations
We accept referrals from neurologists, psychiatrists, and primary care physicians for:
- Memory loss, dementia, and age-related cognitive change — including early Alzheimer’s disease, vascular cognitive impairment, and distinguishing normal aging from something more
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-concussion concerns
- Epilepsy and seizure disorders, including pre-surgical evaluation
- Stroke and other neurological conditions
- ADHD and learning concerns in adults
- Psychodiagnostic evaluations on psychiatric referral, and psychological evaluations supporting gender-affirming medical care
Every evaluation includes a records review, a clinical interview, standardized testing with a doctoral-level provider, and a detailed written report with diagnostic impressions and practical recommendations — delivered to you and your referring provider. Most testing appointments take between three and five hours, and results are available within a week.
Therapy
Individual therapy for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and post-traumatic stress, offered in person at our League City office and by telehealth. Therapy begins with an intake evaluation to clarify the diagnostic picture and identify the goals that will guide your treatment.
Medicolegal Evaluations
Civil independent medical examinations, records-only reviews, Defense Base Act claims, sports concussion and NFL litigation, FAA and HIMS evaluations, pre-employment law enforcement evaluations, and criminal evaluations addressing competency to stand trial, Miranda-related questions, and sentencing mitigation. We are retained by counsel, insurers, third-party administrators, and government agencies. NSG does not accept letters of protection or contingency-based fee arrangements. All work is billed hourly, regardless of case outcome.
Our League City clinic serves attorneys, insurers, and agencies across the Texas Gulf Coast, with evaluations available at our office, by records-only review, and — for criminal matters — in custodial settings, including the Houston Federal Detention Center and the Harris County jails.
Telehealth Across 40+ States
Through PSYPACT, our League City providers offer telehealth appointments to patients in more than 40 states — including pre-screening consultations, clinical interviews, follow-up visits, feedback sessions, and select assessments via secure, HIPAA-compliant video. If you’re unsure whether your concern can be addressed remotely, call and our scheduling team will walk you through it.
Areas We Serve
Our League City clinic serves the communities south and southeast of Houston, including Clear Lake, Webster, Friendswood, Pearland, Dickinson, Kemah, Seabrook, Texas City, La Marque, and Galveston, as well as Baytown, Pasadena, and the industrial and maritime employers along the Houston Ship Channel.
We regularly see patients referred from the Texas Medical Center, UTMB Galveston, Houston Methodist Clear Lake, HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, Memorial Hermann Southeast, and physicians throughout greater Houston. Patients traveling from central Houston should allow about 35–45 minutes via I-45 South.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
Plan to arrive a few minutes early with your photo ID, insurance card, a list of current medications, and any prior imaging, neurology, or psychological records you have. Wear your glasses or hearing aids if you use them, take your medications as usual unless your physician has said otherwise, and eat breakfast — testing can be mentally demanding and we want your best effort.
You’re welcome to bring a family member; we often ask a spouse or adult child a few questions, and they can wait comfortably in our lobby during testing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a physician referral?
Yes — clinical evaluations require a physician referral. If you don’t have one yet, call us anyway: we can schedule your appointment and contact your provider to request the referral.
How long does a neuropsychological evaluation take?
Most patients are with us for three to five hours, including the interview and testing.
Will my insurance cover the evaluation?
We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Aetna, Optum United Healthcare, Evernorth Cigna, Humana, TRICARE West/TriWest, and others — call us to verify your benefits, or see our billing & insurance page. Forensic and medicolegal work is retained and billed separately and is never billed to health insurance.
When will I get my results?
You’ll receive a feedback session and a written report within a week of testing. Your referring physician receives the report as well.
Is the office accessible?
Yes — ground-floor entry and wheelchair accessible, with free parking directly outside.
Do you offer services in Spanish?
Yes — clinical interviews, testing, and assessment are available in Spanish at our League City clinic. Therapy is currently offered in English. Mention your language preference when scheduling so we can plan your appointment with the right team.
