Clinical Neuropsychologist
Education: Dr. Sanam Lalani earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology from Brigham Young University in 2017, following a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Houston. She completed her APA-accredited internship at the Northern California VA Health Care System and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at the UCSF Epilepsy Center.
Employment: Dr. Lalani joined Neurocognitive Specialty Group in 2025 and practices from the Dallas (Plano) clinic. She is licensed in Texas and California and holds PSYPACT authorization for interjurisdictional telepsychology. Prior to joining NSG she was a neuropsychologist at the Baylor Scott & White AT&T Memory Center.
Clinical Experience: Dr. Lalani has extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient settings evaluating and treating patients across the lifespan with conditions including ADHD, concussion and traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, and mild cognitive impairment and dementia. Outside of her work with NSG, she maintains a lifespan neuropsychology private practice providing treatment for executive functioning, insomnia (CBT-I), and functional neurological disorders.
Forensic Specialty Areas: Through NSG, Dr. Lalani performs civil forensic evaluations and independent medical examinations (IMEs).
Research: Dr. Lalani’s research interests include epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and cultural neuropsychology.
Outside of work, Dr. Lalani enjoys traveling, yoga, and biking.
